Nope, It's the model too.I don't really notice if the terrain is any worse now then it was.But yeah even at max the model is still pretty blurry.

I really improve my textures with graphic card configuration screen (catalyst control center) and set Anisotropic filtering to maximum. (It works only if mipmap is enabled in MXS).
1024x1024 texture resolution is for graphic memory cards with at least 1G or 2Gb.

I bought an XFX ATI HD5770 from PC Gear. It was $209, but its a good card. The 5750 goes good as well, its only $179

Nah they dont. You will probably need to get someone to install a laptop graphics card for you, as they are quite fiddly from what Ive heard. Not sure on what cards are good for laptops

Laptops aren't customizable like desktops are. Most laptops have their own motherboards made for that model, with the graphics integrated. It's not something you can switch out.

Yep, don't buy laptops if you like to play :x (Remove all skins, models, set minimum graphics quality and resolution on MXS you can't do more with laptops)

Yep, JLV should add this setting in-game like others games and also for anti-aliasing, it's common. (but after another must have : settings saves/load screen !)

Maybe you set your screen resolution to something crazy like 640x480 and it is stretching it to fit the real screen. Check that.
