It does record in HD. You just have to set the resolution.

Just change the resolution in the mxavi.bat next to 'set xres' and 'set yres' to whichever HD res you want.

Edit the batch file with a text editor.yzmxer608 wrote:'set xres' and 'set yres' to whichever HD res you want.

I have no idea WTF is happening. What kind of processor and video card do you have? It just might not be capable of recording at that resolution.

Re: Video recording script for FFmpeg
Any word on why my PC might not want to record audio? The video files are completely useless and I want to make a video with sound using this to record. It's a custom built PC, so I may just need to install something, but it would be nice to have the function working.

Re: Video recording script for FFmpeg
The script doesn't care what hardware you have, it goes frame by frame, take pictures (essentially), then compiles it into a video, so, if you have really shitty hardware then it would take forever to record, but would be a perfect video, I did that on my laptop lol, took like 45 minutes to record a 3 minute ride with max settings
Only thing I can think of is check the input and output fps (I think) and make sure they (I believe) are the same value... for example, if the input fps is set to 30 (pretty smooth video) set the output to 30 as well, if you set the output higher (i.e. 60fps output) then when you watch the video, it will be twice normal speed, and vice versa... But don't set the input to anything less than 30 for recording videos, anything less is noticeably choppy...

Re: Video recording script for FFmpeg
I know what it is. I'm just trying to figure out why the audio recording works on my laptop, but not my desktop.
