this is the reason why i decided to leave, and sad to say i'd like all the other "creators" for this game follow me, to teach all those kids an important lesson about respect and maturity.

This made me curious.

i dont understand why you enguarage people who made models/skins FREE here to leave it for your personal reasons (meaning someone rip your stuff)

Gotta say this totally blows. Never played with you but in the 6months I've been here I've been amazed by your work, and in the couple PM's we've had you've been nothing but mature and a pleasure to talk to. Sorry to see you go.

Coming from another illustrator(although as a 2nd job) that relies on commissions to pay the bills in my personal opinion this is not nearly enough to justify leaving the game and encouraging every other designer to leave with you. My entire portfolio is up on deviantart by someone else and is making a killing off of it, and yes I've been fighting for months to have it taken down and stopped for good but I haven't stopped drawing. I hope you change your mind one day and come back but till then you'll be missed.

But still every artist has the right to his own work no matter the size and I respect that your standing up to all the thiefs out there. You'll be missed man.

Definitely a bummer to see an extremely talented designer leave the community.

There are always going to be cheaters, rippers, immaturities, and impurities in a gaming community no matter what game it is. When you create things for a game, you have to understand that its vulnerable to piracy whether you like it or not. This is not saying that this is all ok, because it definitely is not!

What i think needs to happen is a better way of locking files..... saf'ing files works great, but there are a hand full of people (obviously) that know how to retrieve files from them.\

That having been said, people who do not make skins need to realize how much time and effort it takes to create beautiful work like giopanda and others create, and you need to appreciate that effort.

40 hours of work is A LOT OF LABOR, and in some cases could be worth nearly $8000 depending on what you are doing.

Would any of you work for free? Do you guys not tip waitresses when you go out to eat? Do you guys not compensate the garbage men for picking up your garbage ? (We actually make them brownies and stuff, they really appreciate it). A little tip goes a long way...and a tip doesn't have to be in the form of commodity either.... it could be as simple as a verbal appreciation...

This community needs to stop acting like idiots and grow up.... we are only as mature as our most immature member.

Gio if you still are looking at this thread just take a break get refreshed and come back motivated when a new update comes out. We all know the skill and time it took for you to do these things. Yes some people will rip stuff.... it happens. It really honestly makes me laugh because the amount of people ripping on here is SO LOW compared to other stuff thats going on. But motocross in its own way is a special community that ties everyone together as friend and helping people.


I know exactly how you feel, yes it sucks but at the same time i think your letting this get to you. The prob is saf files nothing more nothing less, and at the same point i will say this. IF someone WANTS something BAD enough, they will get it. The reason i love any game on a pc is not for the original game but for the mods and models and sounds that get released after from peoples hard work. (i honestly cant stand jlv's stock verison on this game, my iphone could surpass the graphics of this game *no offense jlv <3 * )

This game strives off the people who make custom content for it hands down and we all know it, it would not be at where we are at now without EVERYONE. This even goes out to messiah as well not in a negative way but you frustrate this shit out of people with your honda you have, man just release it or figure out what you want or trying to do. Im a humble guy i dont take offense to seeing someone wanting paid for work, i mean would have paid $ 1.00 or so for a nice bike or model just so i know you felt a profit and hopefully with a few hundred downloads you could make a payment on a bill or buy something for yourself. This goes to everyone, its a personal choice what you decide to do but either way people are going to get it... legal or illegal and really.... there aint shit you can do about it its just moral thing. Just dont let a few sour apples turn ruin you.


Gio if you ever have anything in the works that you were planning on doing so, id be more then happy to privately discuss a deal with you if you wanted. (even tho i think honestly feel us 3rd parties shouldn't try to profit and do things because we just want to improve something)
