I notice that it also has the one of the smoothest curves. Both torque wise and power wise. So maybe thats why.

Could be. Makes sense since it was quick once it got up.CrazyCanadianMX wrote:I notice that it also has the one of the smoothest curves. Both torque wise and power wise. So maybe thats why.

I think the 350 will be the weapon of choice for many people.mbork-1 wrote:tehre will be 350 its intersting ,it will be reason for that guys who cant handle 450 welljlv wrote:The 350 and 450 SX-F are in there but the models are just orange YZs at the moment.

The 350 is just a straight up bad idea. Would you race a 150F in the Lites class?

Its the rider, not the bike.CrazyCanadianMX wrote:The 350 is just a straight up bad idea. Would you race a 150F in the Lites class?
Going by your logic Roczen could race a 50cc bike in the lites class, since he beat Dungey on a bike with 200cc's less.

I get what you mean. Put Villopoto on a 350 he'll still win everything. But it'd still be easier for him on a 450. The 350 is still a clear disadvantage either way.frederick wrote:Its the rider, not the bike.CrazyCanadianMX wrote:The 350 is just a straight up bad idea. Would you race a 150F in the Lites class?

Re: When should jlv release 450's?
The thing is, compared to a 450, a 250f has the advantage of less weight to make up for the lack of power. The 350 has to follow the same weight rules as the 450, so it doesn't have that advantage. The rule book basically makes a good 350 impossible.frederick wrote:Going by your logic Roczen could race a 50cc bike in the lites class, since he beat Dungey on a bike with 200cc's less.

Re: When should jlv release 450's?
So just because you think it is a disadvantage it shouldnt be added to the game? Jlv should just remove all bikes but the 450's then. Some people might ride better on it, (ex: Cairoli, two straight world championships, Herlings beating RV on it) Just because Villopoto would never want a 350kxf the AMA wont ban the 350sxf from pro races. Having more options would just add even more awesomeness to this game.CrazyCanadianMX wrote:I get what you mean. Put Villopoto on a 350 he'll still win everything. Never thought about the weight rules actually. And factories do make their big bores as light as they can be so yeah you're right. Still cant take it when people says less cc's are a clear disadvantage. There are about 10-20 riders in the world who can actually use a 450 to its full potential and would probably place lower if they had less power.jlv wrote:The thing is, compared to a 450, a 250f has the advantage of less weight to make up for the lack of power. That's not how it works. I also doubt the iPhones audio recording quality is on par with what JLV is looking for.

I know nothing bout software and such, but couldn't JLV take noises from a helmet cam video? The best sound to get is that new video of James Stewart on the YZ 250, if only it was a helmet cam... Sounds so crisp. If you haven't seen it already: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EfyrEFxL0o

Re: When should jlv release 450's?
The problem is All of MXSim's bike noises are based off of your input and the strain it is under. Speed, RPM, how much throttle you're giving it, the bike sounds all have to match up with that. It isnt like other motocross games where they just record sound bites of slow acceleration, fast acceleration, etc., and just set it on a loop when you're pinned. This is way more complex than that.
