What the timer is showing is how far the player is from timing out. When the server gets a packet from that client, it resets his timeout counter since the player is still there if he's sending packets.

If there's a lot of packet loss you will get multiple disconnects. The client will keep sending the disconnect messages until it receives the server's acknowledgement.

man i still cant obel raceway to work online since this track checksum sfuff or whatever. i have all the neccessary objects and whatnot and have never messed with the track. any ideas?

thundervalley obel and a few other track says ive editted them and i havent tried redownloading them then getting striaght back in after that still no

I think it saves the changes in the personal folder, where it also saves fastlap.mxdemo etc. Delete that folder and you should be ok.

Why does the game change the skins/models to stock when racing online? This happends alot...

no. it happens any time you change your bike, gear, and helmet. and one time i changed my stability while spectating and it put me on sock stuff

The reason I asked if it's a particular skin combo is because when you change your info in the middle of an online game, the buffer that holds the player's bike/name/number/skins is 179 characters long. If the player info string is longer than that the skins are left off.

So how can you prevent it frim going stock?isnt there a new snapshot or somthing but still that dont work for me :/

Hmm yeah, Im using the team ilabb skins.

I'm pretty sure it's overflowing the buffer. I only checked the ilabb files but those were already up to 128 characters.

I'll increase the buffer size in a future release. For now you can avoid it by not changing your name, number or textures in the middle of an online game.
