You can't compare a bike 2x, 3x heavier than his pilot and MX bikes, which, generally, don't need to use counter-steer to lean. Speed also, it's rare in MX to have to turn at high speed. Generally, we have to break before turn... And wheel weight, wich define the gyro effect wich keep up your bike. I don't say what you said is false, but, it's not THE only true method to turn with MX bike, and only small pilots or at very high speed use this in MX. Or other maybe to lean faster.
Remember I'm not English, and thank for my education lacks
Dude, i dont care if you are riding a fricken 90lb whore with 2 wheels, if you are over about 10km/h, you are going to counter steer her to turn her! ITS THE FRICKEN PHYSICS OF MOTORCYCLES. It doesnt matter if you are on grass, dirt, pavement, or anything.

Its rare in mx to turn at high speeds huh? In your 15 years of motocross competition as you say, you must have never had your motor running.... you must have been pushing and jumping on the thing to get around.

Kids these days.... they never want to know how things work, they just want to know the answers.... its the search engine generation

hey and totorox if you dont understand it its really simple i no this is like my 3rd post of me explain something but i just did it and i just found out how it works :lol: but anyways when you turn your wheel you center of changes to the way you turn so then you body is on the opposite side of the center of gravity which is why you lean the opposite way than you turn your wheel
see simple

it seems to me as though people are trying to suggest that countersteering isnt right are thinking that counter-steering is implying that you do so throughout the entire turn,
countersteering is simply a measure employed to initiate lean.
now, i havent watched the video to be completely honest, so i dont know how he explains it, but you can kind of explain very roughly using one of the most basic laws of classical physics; ol newtons 1st law of motion: inertia.
if you steer to the left, the mass of both the bike and the rider will resist this change, and assuming your tires arent sliding, this is going to mean that the bike is going to tilt "forwards" from the initial direction of motion, or, in your new heading, roughly "to the right".
swap left and right around in that little spiel, and youve got a VERY rough idea of whats going on when you turn the ol bars to the right.
as i said, i didnt watch that video, so sorry if im sounding like a broken record here.

EDIT: found a pretty handy lookin diagram

Thanks Gordy, I have some problems to talk English and explain what I think, but it's that. "Countersteering is simplay a measure employed to initiate lean". And I add, not 'the only one'. You don't need to countersteer to initiate leaning everytime, So it's not THE only true. And Is for this reason I ask to JLV to add a function to use another Axis, dedicated to steer. Thank other to reread what I said before saying "wrong ! you kid have educationnal laks, etc, etc...'" (Wich make me laughing a lot and also crying a little for young peoples... ;)

+ Plz JLV, also add a function to disable front brake in air. I have both brakes in same axis.
To simply do that, add a secund controler assignation by function, or maybe more, like many games. So we can use more than only one controler with the game, without changing 'config' file when use another controler.
Is there a way to do this ? if I add manually in 'config' file (like we have to do in GPbikes to set a secund assignation) like :

rear_brake_key=(k) c
rear_brake_key=(0.000000,-1.000000)LogitechMOMOForceUSB axis 3

if not can you think to this ? maybe using a tabloid variable.
rear_brake_key=(k) c , (0.000000,-1.000000)LogitechMOMOForceUSB axis 3
or
rear_brake_key=(k) c
rear_brake_key(1)=(0.000000,-1.000000)LogitechMOMOForceUSB axis 3

i would suggest (and wikipedia agrees) that it is a far easier measure of leaning (than the counter-lean alternative) as the weight of the bike increases though

I think he means he just started to get lag when he never did before. Are your graphic drivers up to date? Try to uninstall your graphic drivers, run a driver cleaner to get ride of the remains of the graphic drivers, then install the newest ones.
