+1 It's very annoying thing to work with other programs without Esc keyShadow wrote:Ok, jlv, this is weird. With the new snapshot, my esc key stops working when I load a track I'm working on.

Do you have photoshop open? Try pressing shift + escShadow wrote:Ok, jlv, this is weird. With the new snapshot, my esc key stops working when I load a track I'm working on.

No you don't have to restart the game, you might lose them if you restart the game (sometimes they save for me and sometimes they don't).mxbiker wrote:i thought i had to change the sounds then restart the game, so thats why i dont hear difference,

Here's the tree model: http://mxsimulator.com/models/tree2.zip
I'll make a tutorial explaining how it works.
The second is the silencer length in feet. It sets the length of the comb filter. This should also be positive.
The last is amplitude. It controls the amplitude of the echo. The amplitude can be negative. Negative would match the echo coming from the end of a pipe. Positive would be like the echo bouncing off of a wall.

I did a search and found this thread. Some people had luck disabling the hot keys in their graphics drivers.DJ wrote:Do you have photoshop open? Try pressing shift + escShadow wrote:Ok, jlv, this is weird. With the new snapshot, my esc key stops working when I load a track I'm working on.
It doesn't save the pipe settings. I just put those commands in because I was fooling with the 125 pipe and didn't want to have to recompile every time I changed it.yzmxer608 wrote:No you don't have to restart the game, you might lose them if you restart the game (sometimes they save for me and sometimes they don't).mxbiker wrote:i thought i had to change the sounds then restart the game, so thats why i dont hear difference,
The first parameter is the pipe length in feet. All it does is set the delay line length. This should always be positive.Duckstream wrote:what exatly does these numbers mean? like pipe length ---1.99 , is that a ...like cm, inches or something? or some random stuff, and i noticed if i put the numbers something like this : /pipe4 -1.1 0.5 0.5 the sound repeat itself, same happens if you put the middle one too high

Re: 2010-09-03 snapshot
I don't think it can, not without having to change the uvw map at least. I think jlv made a separate part in his skin the 2d tree (what shows on the plane). Unless you can specify a different texture for a lod, which I don't think you can.DJ wrote:Does this work well for trees that have the leaves and trunk in a separate model? Cheers

would it be possible to set two amplitude setups? both to set the "echo coming from the end of a pipe" and "echo bouncing off of a wall" ?jlv wrote:The first parameter is the pipe length in feet. thanks for reply still, i really want to learn how to make proper sounds, i got an nice rev sound, idle is fine but the part between idle and reving is horrible (too low i think)

Re: 2010-09-03 snapshot
For wich purpose is the texture filtering option ? Lowering filtering on some texture to improve FPS or can we improve quality like for Anisotropic filtering ?
If not, it is hard to add an option to use Anisotropic filtering like other games, because it's improve a lot graphic game quality.
Almost everyone could do that by setting driver option to 'forced anisotropic' at desired level, in place of 'managed by application'. I suppose OpenGL can handle that easily, and same for antialiasing.
ps : for hiding mouse cursor while inactive, i red you could just move it to a temp offscreen location if you can't set visible state on or off.

Just to try, did you restart your computer? That's weird, normally all I have to do is restart the game.Servatis wrote:my sound is completely gone now!..
