when you walk, do you think about how the physics work, and actively think about what you are doing? probably not, you know how to do it the rest is all muscle memory.jlv wrote:I'm amazed at how many people can ride a bike while having no idea how they actually do it!
irl, your thought is "turn left" and you turn left, you don't actively think about steering to the right while that is exactly what you do.
this is the exact reason why steering right to go left in MXS is counter-intuitive even though the physics are right.
its also the reason why some slow 180 turns in MXS can turn out to be very wierd since at that speed having reversed steering on is counter-intuitive.
so in short. irl you just think about which way you want to go and muscle memory takes over. in MXS you have to actively think about which way you want to turn the bars.
through training with reversed steering off, you can gain this muscle memory like in real life, but since at first it is very wierd a lot of people ride with reversed steering.
anyway, cant wait for the next snapshot.
