Try the help/troubleshooting forum.
It would be hard for anyone to recommend what to upgrade on your computer without knowing your computer specs as well...

Re: how can i get rid of lag?
get CPUz and it will tell you all you need to know about your computer. and it isnt lag youre trying to get rid of...unless youre playing on dial-up and i surely hope youre not!
but heres a tip...if you have an old computer with an outdated processor (lets say a Pentium 4, or anything with a single core and less than 3.0 ghz <--- my old comp specs!) then youre not going to get much for your computer to help. if you have a more up to date computer with a pretty good processor (Core 2 Duo or anything newer) but low amount of RAM or a cheap or nonexistent video card, then spend some money on some more RAM and a decent video card.
this game seems to be really processor intensive, and it only runs on a single core so multi-core processors dont help like they would with other games. so if you have a decent modern processor then upgrade your RAM and video. if not, then look into getting something more up to date. thats all the advice i have atm!
