MX Simulator

Hey I have a question. I just bought the full game the other day Version 1.7. I have been playing for a couple weeks now at my friends house who has the game so I have the basic idea of how it all works. Do I have to go back and download all the previous snap shots or are they included in the latest purchase of the game. I am only asking because my rider has no arms and I thought there was a snapshot to fix that. I just downloaded the new one 2-09-12 i think. One other question I have is I have been trying to get some new models. I have found a couple like a set of KTM's and 2011 & 2012 Kawasaki 250f's and I put them in my personal folder but they don't come up in the game. Are they bad files or did I do something wrong. Because I have downloaded tracks and gear that worked but these won't. Any help would be appreciated. I am new to computer gaming so I am slowly catching on. Thanks

If you downloaded the version 1.7 installer when you bought the game it should have everything I think. Do you mean he has no arms in first person or even in 3rd person? Make sure the "Hide first person rider" option in the graphics menu is set to No.

Are you decompressing the files for the models and skins you download? Most are compressed to make them a smaller file size, but need to be extracted before the game can use them. This only needs to be done to .zip, .7z, and .rar files. You can use 7zip http://www.7-zip.org/.

Ya I understand the whole win rar or win zip. But the files just don't work. They are inn the right place and I looked at the comments before I downloaded the files. It seemed like people were using them and liked them or I wouldn't have downloaded them. I did fix the no arms thing in the graphics setup. The only thing I dont understand is why some files work and some don't. Thanks for the response and the help!!!

Does the chat show you any errors when you are on the track?

Sometimes it says some stuff about texture because I am using a laptop with limited graphic capabilities but besides that only on the server. It just says something like it couldn't load a specific helmet stuff like that. But I don't get anything serious. My laptop is totally capable of running the game not to its full potential but good enough to play and not have any lag. It is strange unless there is something wrong with the actual file I download. Some work fine. Like I just downloaded some old SX track pack some skins, supermoto wheels and they all worked. But no models seem to work.

If the models are all saf'ed it should be ok, are they .jm files? If you are trying to use a skin but don't have the model it'll yell at you too, but that doesn't sound like the case.
