Re: how to import a google maps screen in the game
This is how I get the image:

And this is how to get them in game:

I dont use DJ's files I just make it up on my own, its not that hard. Just cut out the portion you want of the map you downloaded and scale it to a proper resolution (1024.2048, etc) and name it whatever you want. Open up the decals file and terrain file (not image) and get ready to do some math. In the Terrain file you have the pixel scale of your map (second number), multiply that by the width of your terrain image (typically 1025 unless you changed it) and you get the size in feet of your terrain, Input that as the size of your decal. Now all thats left is to place the decal, basically just divide the number we just used by 2 and enter that in the X and Y location of the map.
You can also split it up into multiple sections if you want higher resolution, use the same principals Im not going to write all that out over again.
Enjoy!

Normally I scale the image up abit because otherwise you're working at 1:1 scale.

Yea well I assume most people are scaling in the terrain rather than the image so that their topography matches with the overlay texture. I just ride it and scale as I see fit to get it to look the correct size.
