MX Simulator new bike sounds ?

Post by MX_Gh0ST »

Hello guys.
This is a question to JLV.
a) JVL can you add a ingame sound editor? With saveable bike sounds like .braap.

Are there .braap files for download??

Thanks for help.

Ghost why are you always using bold text or a bigger size, JLV even doesn't do that?

Not a bad idea actually. Kinda like the suspension set up menu is except its pipe info. But I suspect it's nearly impossible to implement with how it's set up at the moment. Maybe in the future it would be cool though.

It sure would be awesome!
More realistic 2 stroke sounds, would be even better imho.

You need to get better sound recordings for the sounds to be better. There's only so much the braap files can do.

what if they put a sound recording device on a real 125 or 250 2 stroke and transferred the sounds over? is that possible? ?

You would need a dyno some where in the open. With a brake and motor, so you could take sound recordings of different loads on the engine.
Then you take recordings from the rpm ranges (idle/1000/2000/3000/.../limiter) With the motor, you spin up the engine to the same rpm, but with the throttle closed.
You then repeat that with different exhausts, near a wall , in the forest, from the back/front, from 20/40/100 m away and send them to jlv.And you have almost
realistic sound( as much as a crossfading sound engine allows it).
I have access to a dyno , but I think you really need to simulate the load on the engine, because I think it sounds different at 3000 rpm with half a throttle
or 3000 rpm full throttle.

Oh for sure. I was thinkling that for the moment have the .braap file integrated kind of like how they used to be with chat so you wouldn't have to leave the game. There would be an extra menu under suspension and gearing called pipes or something. In there you have all the options like you normally would for a .braap file but you just type in a number and have a save option. Plus the ability to save your favourite pipe sounds and name then.

Jones made some pretty decent 250F sounds a few weeeks ago with his real bike, they also sound good on a 125 minus the rev limiter but that takes a bit longer to kick in.
