Suspension settings go to 0......
Hey i remember this being mentioned before but didn't take much notice, now it is happening to me. Everytime the game loads something (track, new bike, each round online) then the compression on my sus goes to "0" Why is it doing this and can i get it to stop??? Thanks in advance!

It only happens sometimes when you go into the suspension settings, it drags the fork compression to 0. So it's not actually set on 0 until you go into that menu. I'm not sure why it happens though

Im pretty sure its because when you click it registers as a Double click so 1 click goes into the menu and the other drags it to 0

OK cool, it's just that it feels like it keeps pitching me over the bars. This suggests maybe it is actually reducing it, unless i don't notice and ride with it at 0!! Maybe it's Psychosomatic!!! Cheers fella's!

Now, speaking of suspension, does anyone know why the back-tire of the bike wants to grow up to be a Space Shuttle? Seriously, I've hit bumps on the track where the front soaks it all up and is firmly on the ground, then the back hits and literally pulls the entire bike, front wheel and all, into the air to a spectacular landing on my neck. I've seen this happen in real life as well, I once hit a cattle-guard and my rock-hard front just hit it, while the super-soft back end sprang up like a Jack-Russel Terrier. Why does this happen, and is there some setting one can use to fix it?

Give me more power.
Give me more handling.
Give me more style.
Give me more Maico.

LMAO that was pretty funny JETZ.. and i've actually noticed this same issue especially in the whoop sections
when i'm going through the whoops the front stays solid on the line but the back end of the bike just decides to be a mexican jumping bean and bounce all over the place
doesnt seem that realistic to me..

I have this problem too but, on my old mouse 1st button, often double-click, cause of usure and extra sensivity. Then I already have this problem, on the 1st slider settings each new configuration page, but I check that each time now.
This can be solved by setting mouse defaut position not above option menu, or no focus set.

Since your center of mass is above the wheels there will always be a tendency to pitch forward when you hit something. The things you can do to counteract it are accelerate as you hit it, and try to move your weight back as you hit it.JETZcorp wrote:Now, speaking of suspension, does anyone know why the back-tire of the bike wants to grow up to be a Space Shuttle? I'll look into the compression going to 0. It sounds like it's seeing a mouse drag left over from when you clicked the menu.

Not a drag, a simple double click set my fork damping at 0 each time. Or in other page, when launching time trial for sample, "backing up" setting changes. My old mouse did 2 for 1 clicjlv wrote: It sounds like it's seeing a mouse drag left over from when you clicked the menu.

Re: Suspension settings go to 0......
It's a very weird effect, and it seems to be most powerful when hitting bales. The front may go through the entire stroke of travel and come out of it shaken but workable on the other side, but the rear suspension doesn't even bother moving. It's as though the instant an obstacle of this sort is encountered, the shock is replaced with a single solid brick of material so dense and unforgiving that not even the impact of rock-hard bale of hay hitting the wheel at 50mph can budge it. No, instead, all that energy goes directly to the rear fender! I'm not necessarily doubting that this is a real effect, as it was the reason for the invention of forward-mounted, laid-down, and eventually monoshock suspension. What I'm wondering is what makes this happen, even when have the throttle on full panic-rev and the rider exploring the fender plastic with his cheeks.

Re: Suspension settings go to 0......
I have been so frustrated by this exact same thing. It's like my rear end wants my face and the dirt to get hitched. I've only been playing for a few days so it could just be my skills or lack there of, but I can't prevent it from happening for the life of me. I don't just encounter this on whoops or bumps either. For example, the finish line jump at Old Goldberry is really determined to put the rear tire over my head. Now I think we all agree that this rhythm section is a wide open balls out dash. I just can't figure out why, even though I'm revving to the sky and trying to use my butt as a wheelie bar, I find myself landing on my number plate almost every single time I hit that jump. If anyone figures out how to prevent this I would forever be in debt to you. As I am new here I also wanted to ask if anyone knows of a track that someone has made that doesn't involve first gear. I feel that a lot of the tracks I have played are just a challenge to see how good you are at going slow. I'm not saying that they aren't fun but I would love a track full of fifth gear jumps. Sorry for all of the lame metaphors but that seems to be the theme of this thread. P.S. Did anyone catch the supercross race tonight? I'm glad to see that even the pros accidentally hit nuetral sometimes too lol.
