can some one tweak my setups for yz 250f 2009

Post by Serjovax »

well i was thinking im stuck in my setup its almost perfect ok here is what im searching for and cant get done i feel like the wheel is spinning to much i always think it has something to do with my lock full speed and lock restricted speed i dont know maybe that settings are like the limited slip of the cars thats my wild guess and i dont know how to tune it in bikes the other thing its slightly changing my pre-load, rebound and compression damping so it can skim the whoops i manage to get it for an enjoyable ride on breaking bumps, rollers, turning and jumps but still getting a bit of problems in does whoops in advance stability please dont change any thing else just lock speed and lock restricted speed if any can tweak that so i can test out if it works better ill apreciate it thanks! oh and i use a yz250f (2009)

Here are the settings:

has nothing to do with full lock speed and settings, thoes are all for the steering collum if i remember right, ive messed with all of thoes and honestly, cant figure out what those all really do, but im 90% possitive it has nothing to do with the rear tire spinning out on you. My number one tip for that issue itself. try a different bike. noticed that when i rode the yz250f and thought it was trash, handled kind of crappy, and had shitty power dilivery. That being said, Raising your fork preload would help with you back tire spinning. Seeing as it is the force pushing back to the bike. that being said, higher your fork preload is, the easier it is for you front tire to spin out, if this is an SX setup, definatly want that shock preload quite a bit higher, will make the bike corner faster, and will make it so you dont have to push so hard to square up and hit the big stuff. idk knowing if this is a SX or if it is a MX set up would be supper helpful

for motocross your shock preload is good (might be a little low), you definatly want a little more fork preload i would suggest around 23-27, depends how far your leaning over without any ruts.
