how do i run tracks that i have downloaded from other people. i have tried everything i know to do.

Just unzip or unrar it in the MX Simulator folder. Make sure you keep the directory structure when you unpack it. So if you're unpacking Springburg.rar, you should end up with a folder called Springburg in the MX Simulator folder.

i extracted the files and it is still a rar file. i cannot figure out how to change this. i have extracted the file into MX simulator, i have extracted the files into a new folder and then input that folder in the MX sim personal folder and i still cant play the tracks. is there something i'm doing wrong

Maybe try a different unrar program? I use unrar from the command line, but I think most people use winrar.
