Re: New web page background images
I like it. Maybe instead of pure white for the background lower the opacity a little so you see more of the track. Or make it a lowered opacity black with white text. I think that would look better.

Re: New web page background images
Here it is with a translucent black background for the main content area.
Definitely +1 for looks. I think it might suffer a bit on readability though. Also, this won't work for some versions of Internet Explorer.

Re: New web page background images
Much better, feels more modern. However what would look neat is if you hardened the edges on the inside of mx simulator. And then added some 1px wear on that to give it more depth. I like the simplicity of it though.

Re: New web page background images
That new one with the translucent black is perfect imo. Does it just turn up as plain black in some of the versions?

Re: New web page background images
I've decided the translucent black background isn't worth it. It looks great, but it's a little slow and has a lot of compatibility problems.
Wilson, do you have an example of the effect you're talking about?

Re: New web page background images
Umm I cant really explain how it would be, but something to do with extruding metals would look mint with that background. Add a little wear and tear to the edges of the metal and itd really make the site pop.

Re: New web page background images
I'll probably go with this.
It's the same as the first with a faint background image in the content div. It's not quite as nice as the translucent one but it only requires CSS 1.

Re: New web page background images
Looks a lot better but I think it would look even better with some good photoshop artwork instead of one big picture. I don't really like the white, maybe the edges need to be smoothed out and the regular font needs to be changed too.
