Questions about graphics cards
So I'm going to be getting a new graphics card in the next few days and I'm having a hard time deciding what to get. Im trying to spend little as possible in order to get no less than 70fps. I would like to average 100fps but how much do i need to pay to get this? What cards do you guys have who are able to average that much fps? Plus I've heard this game only uses 1 gpu so I don't know if I should get another sli setup or stick with 1 card. I'm currently thinking about a gtx 770, gtx 660 ftw edition SLI, maybe a 760 SLI. Im not really sure but my price limit is around 400, but is it necessary to spend that much to obtain really high fps?

Re: Questions about graphics cards
The SLI setups won't work well with MXS due to the way it uses textures generated on the GPU across multiple frames.

I'd go for the best NVIDIA card I could afford.

Re: Questions about graphics cards
Since you've got room to work in your budget id suggest going with a regular gtx 670, I mean if you wanna spend the extra money for an FTW version to get better cooling you can but in my opinion FTW versions are overated unless you need some supreme cooling or they include an upgrade in the memory.
GTX 670 Regular: $330

Re: Questions about graphics cards
you'll get 100 fps with probably low-medium settings with a 40 man gate. Also depends on your CPU and RAM

Well i always run close to the highest settings regardless of the amount of riders or track. As far as the rest of my pc i have a asus sabertooth 990fx mobo, amd fx-6200 6 core set on 4.1ghz turbo mode with, 12gb ram, and 800w corsair psu. My current 2 GPU's are gtx260's, so yeah i need to upgrade hahaha.

I have a GTX650 TI 2gb paired with an i5 3570 and I get around 110 fps on race nights in rF on high detailed settings - a little bit of ground texture resolution (I run 256x256)pinit24/7#12 wrote:you'll get 100 fps with probably low-medium settings with a 40 man gate. Re: Questions about graphics cards
I also have a FX-6 series, never overclocked and run GTX560's. If you can afford the 760 or 770 I would get that just because of how cool GPU Boost 2.0 is but, a 670 would be perfectly fine. I'm running a FX-6, 8GB RAM and 750w PSU and in most rF races get 60 FPS, can't remember now but at one time I did have the frame lock function on so I may still have that but either way my frames are solid and a GPU upgrade would do you wonders.FlyinHigh wrote:Well i always run close to the highest settings regardless of the amount of riders or track.
