starting a server

can someone help me? ive done all the steps in the vurb moto gamers tutorial on how to start a server but whenever i try to connect it just keeps telling me WSAECONNRESET. ive been sitting here redownloading everything and redoing all the steps and i never get a different result and im getting extremely frustrated. what am i doing wrong?!?!?!

ive fixed that now, because i had log me in pro instead of hamachi, but now it keeps telling me contacting sever? why cant i join my own server?

Hey I was riding with ya earlier this evening, I'm J. Talboo. If you get your server running let me know I'll check it out. Sorry I didn't make it back on earlier girlfriend made dinner and I fell asleep on the couch. And yeah I looked up Ryan Talboo he made it to Loretta's this year the lil dude is fast!

ya hes a quick lil dude, but ya im not sure what im doing wrong, ive done all the steps over and over again but it tells me contacting server

Why are you using log me in (or hamachi for that matter)? Skip all that and simply forward the correct port on your router so that other people can access your server from outside your local network. The only exception to this would be if your ISP will not allow you to forward ports but most ISPs dont care at least around my area.

Are you using the same computer to play on as well as to act as the server? Have you read this thread:http://forum.mxsimulator.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4380 it goes through every step hard to screw up after reading that.

how do i turn off my firewall? and im using it because the tutorial i watched said i needed it

You dont unless your ISP forces you to do that by not allowing port forwarding. Try it the real way before the work around way.
