how to take good screenshots without PS

Post by RaNDoM HeRO »

1.download fraps (dont worry its free)
2.turn your field of view around 10-20
3.where to find that? in the menu of the game twords the bottom it says graphics and settings menu at the bottom there is a slider saying field of view (Field of view = FOV) further to the right its like a tunnel vision further to the left its zoomed in and looks better. again 10-20 FOV
4.right click your games shortcut and on the target line type this in or copy and paste "C:\Program Files\MX Simulator\mx.exe" --hidden-pause ... there is a space after the "
5.why? this eliminates the word pause at the top.
6. upload to a good site like photoBUCKET.com not photoshop
7. no huge pictures either on the forums either
Im going to use my friend westhillmx for example before i showed him how to take better screenshots.

or you could just not suck and its alot easier no fraps no photoshopping i thinks its pretty good

and can sombody explain what fraps does that makes it better i dont see how if you go from the game to photoshop its worse than from the game to a program to photoshop

Image

one more thing no offence but it shows alot of confidence in your shots using sombody elses for a turorial

but whatever im still refusing to use fraps im keepin up the photoshop pride even though i cant use it for my life

Using the print screen button does not go from the game to PS. It is not part of the game. It just takes a screenshot of what is on your screen at that moment. Fraps does the same, it just uses different file types (png, bmp, tga). Using the print screen button takes shots using jpg, which is a lower quality image format. Fraps also has other features such as the ability to take screenshots at regular intervals after the hotkey is pressed, it can also take video.

I thought print screen stored the image as raw data, rather than something with compression. All my print screen images turn out perfect, no apparent quality loss.

Maybe, they just seem like they are stored as jpegs for some reason. I could be wrong. I've always used paint for pasting print screen screenshots (whether it's a screenshot of something in Windows or a game) and it always seems like it's bad quality no matter what file type it's saved in. Could be different when you paste them into PS.

Plus Fraps can take as many screenshots as you want in a session, and have them save to where ever you want them to. With print screen you can only have one shot at a time.
