Cant connect to online

Cant connect to online
I am having a lot of trouble connecting to the servers.. I would type in the I.P. address and click connect. But when I hit connect, the screen just says "contacting server" like 5 times. I don't know how to connect... SOMEONE HELP MEEEEE!!!

That would be either because that server is down or it is not the correct IP adress, hope this helps!
