There are very few laptop that are good for sim. You wont find a cheap one. good gaming laptops go for around $1500. I would highly suggest using a desktop (building your own of course)

Best laptop for the price. Lenovo y510p. Best laptop i ever bought. I got the upgraded model (few extra goodies) for $1100. You can get the base model for around $900. Of course, you can built a desktop for half the price which could possibly be better. But - if your like me with split parents, have to carry i around, need it for school etc etc the lenovo y510p is the best thing ever bought. Youll never find another laptop in its price range for equal value. If you dont like the y510p, you can find a decent laptop under $1000 by msi. But there all bulky :$ or if you need something cheaper, surf the lenovo website or toshiba website

Plan to spend $1200-1500 on a laptop or $800-1000 on a desktop if you are on a budget. I have a MSI GT780DX that I am using right now, it is a great computer but when i bought it it was $1500...Now I am building a desktop because laptops will always have limitations.
