has Yellow, purple and blue squares for the track and riders, when i go to join multiplayer.

Go into the Graphics Settup and turn off the lens flare...

I fixed it had to turn down the graphics a bit, the settings i had were too overwhelming for my graphics card. ( Radeon 9550)
