Failed attempt at adding skins/models

I was watching the videos and using winrar to unzip files and then placing them into my personal folder like noted for the game. I then went to run the game and when i click the application to load it, it would just open up my personal folder. I can no longer open and play the game.. I honestly have no idea where to even begin to fix this issue. thanks.
