The PC problem

Post by mx898 »

So power went out today in my neighborhood messing up my computer now I'm on the hunt for a computer :( and a way to get mx sim again. I know there's probably like more than enough post but haven't found anything that mad sense so I'm just gonna say it well my budget isn't high like 600+ is out of the question so anything under would be great. My reason for posting is I'm still a newb to the game my last computer ran the stock tracks fine in single player but online play would suffer. I've looked and found some that I saw some guys talking about but I wanted to know what I should look for in as a bare minimum of specs that the game needs to run smoothly with less lag on the hardware such as ram, processor, etc. I'd like to have it able to get on YouTube and stuff like that as well and play smoothly. Also how do I get mx sim do I have to buy it again?

Bare minimum PC's seem to be the only thing I assist with. AMD CPU, FX4 or so, GTX 750 TI, 8GB RAM, FM3+ MB, case, can you reuse HD? YT relies on internet, not PC. PM JLV about sim.

Any other questions feel free.

The GTX 750Ti which Puma linked is the best value for money or 'bang for your buck' cards out there at the minute. Maxwell architecture allows it to use a TDP of only 60W (depends on overclocking). The value for money is awesome too, it runs 30 FPS paired with a decent CPU on most component intensive games such as Battlefield 4 and Metro: Last Night.

If you pair it with a CPU (processor) along the lines of an i5 (I don't think model will make a major difference as even budget i5s are decent) you should get good FPS on single player with max graphics and even 30+ FPS on a full gate if you lower the graphics settings or turn of shaders.

When buying a CPU be sure to check it matches your motherboard. They both must have the same socket e.g 1155/1150 etc and the same architecture (please note some motherboards support more than one architecture). So, for example if your motherboard supports Sandybridge 1155 CPUs only buy a motherboard with support for socket 1155 and Sandybridge CPUs. You'll also need to make sure your motherboard has a PCI-Ex16 slot to insert the graphics card. The GTX 750Ti doesn't require an additional 6-pin connecter apart from the 'FTW' edition from EVGA... So stay away unless your PSU has a 6-pin.

Hope I could help just reply if you have any questions.
