This is a little hard for me to explain but I'll try my best.
When watching videos or riding online. I see everyone tripling out of corners with very little speed. I can only either barely double or just single and then double.
I'm a pretty decent rider and have decent times but if I could figure out how to go through sections how I see everyone else. I would be much faster.
Another problem I have is stepping off table tops and clearing it. I always come up short Like I'm not getting enough pop off it.
I do use manual shifting.
Any help would be appreciated. my gear ratio is 1 and -1.

Re: SX Help
To triple in you just need good corner speed and the on off's you need to preload / seat bounce off it. There are a few tutorials on how to do it on youtube

Re: SX Help
You have to rail the corners pretty hardcore usually. And seat bouncing is your friend when attempting to triple in to a section. I've been playing for over a year, and just got to the point where I can usually make the triples out of corners. Just stick with it, keep practicing, and you'll get it. Don't try to go for something you know you can't quite hit every lap though. If you have a lap where you're feeling good, maybe try it. But, if you just keep practicing, sooner or later, you'll come up to a section that you've been doubling into, attempt that double in, and almost triple

Everything said i agree with. one thing anyone neglected to mention is that you said you use 1, -1 for gearing? IMO that is way too sluggish for SX. Try -1,-1 or -1,1 which is what I run for SX. Suspension also matters as you can get more "pop" with different settings.

learning how to preload correctly helps a lot as well.Gideon#67 wrote:Everything said i agree with. one thing anyone neglected to mention is that you said you use 1, -1 for gearing? Re: SX Help
I meant -1, 1 is what I'm riding.
I've watched the seat bounce tutorial but he doesn't really explain it well. Plus I didn't see any preloading ones. Anyone mind giving a quick run through of the two?
for example. On Detroit I can't clear the table in the first section nor can I pop off of it.
would I need a stiffer suspension setup to get more pop in these situations or?

That particular jump is pretty stupid. I wouldn't base anything off of it.
To preload, I generally just lean back and sit down until I'm just about to take off, then lean forward and stand up.

Wouldn't that be a seat bounce? That's what I do to seat bounce, and preload is the exact same without sittingKTM57 wrote:To preload, I generally just lean back and sit down until I'm just about to take off, then lean forward and stand up.

Re: SX Help
Same thing to me. Preloading is just the act of pushing the shock down so that it rebounds harder, so seatbouncing would be preloading if you want to get technical about it.
