Ruts Problem
Ok well the title speaks for itself i decided to start practicing at a1 for outdoors and i've ran outdoor tracks before not as much as others have practiced but i really know nothing about advanced and im not entirely sure if suspension affects how you can get into ruts but i have a major issue with either going into the rut and it making me go to far on the inside which results in me normally hitting the backside of another rut and it stands me up or makes me fall over, or i take the rut to high and i just slide the front wheel over and you know the story from there, but i continue to have this issue and i really don't know what to change at this point. I would take a guess that my advanced needs to be tighter but i would like to get some opinions on this and some tips for possibly rider position or just anything really i have no idea where to go about starting so if you could help that would be great.

Re: Ruts Problem
This game has an issue in ruts, no doubt. Its because in real life, you use your body to counterweight and correct yourself when needed, but in mxs, the rider is basically static in side to side lean. No weight shift, JLV based the whole turning of the game purely off of counter-steering. So ruts are hard, its just how it is. Of course there are people that rail them, but it all comes with practice. Its hard to do, you just need to practice. There are no real tips I can tell you other then stay steady on the throttle and hit the rut beginning to end, no coming in half way and steering out.
If you think your setup might be causing extra difficulty in ruts, add me on skype and i'd be happy to help you out.

Ruts treat me fine. It's about how you ride it. In real life I let the rut take me. Meaning I look ahead and trust it. In nationals you really have to get on the side of the rut and not in the deep part or you'll crash like you said.

Practice the GP's more.. I find the ruts on them are great practice.. I've improved my lap times by ~ 5-10 seconds by improving how I flow rut to rut.MotoX745 wrote:thanks for the help guys had a few friends give me some tips as well, ive mostly been trying to mess with my advanced and just rider position and practice as most said works, it's just some ruts for me its hard to get the concept of it.
