All I know.................

Post by justinarush »

This game is ridiculous!

In a good way! However, just way too long of a learning curve. I come back to it every now and then, but damn......way to frustrating.

There needs to be a mix of MX Simulator and MX vs ATV (without the ATV).

There has to be a happy medium where one can whip it and one can just have fun.

I totally agree that those who put in the dedication to master the physics are........well......unreal. But for those who just don't have the time (like myself), but on the other hand want a good MX game.........well......shit!

Need a mix of the two. The arcade mode in this doesn't even come close, in my opinion. Although it was not made for arcade mode obviously. I love this game and love playing, but just at the same time want to enjoy!

Maybe the new MX vs ATV Supercross will surprise and add more difficulty to the physics, but still not so hard that one is constantly frustrated. NO GAME should take over 1 year (maybe 6 months if a natural) to become good enough to even make a race!!!!!!!!!

Yep, this game is quite a masterpiece. You can never thank the people enough who put in all the hard work to get the game to the level it is today and everyone who continues to push the limits and improve the game every day.

Yes......I thank them, but......hate them too :)

I just hope Nordic Games realizes that MX Simulator is the game others want, but not quite the difficulty. Lol!

I know, you can't have best of both worlds, but I want it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought this was a simulator? Definition of a simulator: Simulation is the imitation of the operation of a real-world process or system over time. Now, in real life do you expect the first day you get on a bike to be automatically fast as the pros? Mx vs Atv anyone can hop on and get good within 10 minutes, this is a simulator not mx vs atv it takes time to get good like real life. Over time you will start to get better. If you play for 30 minutes a day in 3 months (maybe more maybe less) you will start to get the feel of the game and start to love it. One thing you should know all those videos you might see of people throwing sick oppo whips and all that comes with time, dont try to throw whips the first couple months you play, after time style will come with speed. Start out on the stock server (elsinore.mxsimulator.com:19800) to compare your speed to others, then when you start winning some races there try supercross or motocross servers (elsinore.mxsimulator.com:19801 mx, elsinore.mxsimulator.com:19803 sx) you probably wont have those tracks so go here for them http://tmfactory-racing.com/amatracks.html . Ive been playing for 2 years and I'm still not no where near as fast as the the top pros but some people dont need 2 years to get to be as fast as the pros, some might need more time but I will never get tired of this game always something to learn. Just keep playing and you will get better

Ya no shit!

I don't expect to be as fast as pro's in 30 minutues! Not even. Like Villopoto says "it takes hard work, effort, and talent to win a race".

I've been on and off for well over a year on this. More off the on actually.

Anyway......there has to be a happy medium in the gameplay.

I realize this is simulation! But how "simulated is it"? I mean, if you want to get technical there isn't even a controller for this simulation?????? You can't ride a bike without a controller, and other simulations have proper controls. So how much of a sim is it? Not much, in my opinion.

So if we are to simulate motocross, then why not even have a proper controller? Why not just do the real thing? Who knows..........

All I know is........as long as I have a controller in hand and limited time to play........I want more of a happy medium. One that is enjoyful and rewarding to play, but at same time isn't so easy that anyone can do it! If that makes any sense...........probably not.

You could argue that MXS is what that is, but it's not. The physics are good, but not nothing like iRacing physics are for cars. Apply that to motocross and you got a win........................but wait? Oh yeah! iRacing actually has controllers that help simulate and feel the road!! Well shit...........that's what we need!

I just have a vision of something better for many many many others to enjoy. But don't have the power to create it! Sucks...........this could be so much better.

I'm on a rant now.............see ya. I'll keep playing and trying because of my love for motocross, but nothing will come of it (but frustration).

What kind of controller are you looking to have? a handle bar? then what are you going to use to shift, to use the back brake to sit down? I don't have a problem playing with a regular controller. iracing is completely different, that's cars there has been a steering wheel for car games sense the PS1 days.

I know somebody on the forum (I wanna say his name was doubledragoncc) was working on making a motorcycle-style controller for MXS and it looked sick.

I just think that would be weird? Your going to have to have alot of space for that probably like for people that play on laptops like me its going to be tight. Unless I hook it up to my tv but id rather just use my controller plus it would probably be expensive

Ya I know who your talking about. That is shit! Maybe OK for street bike.

I'm not looking for the world here, but there has got to be someone who can make a decent handlebar setup.

I would love to see force feed-back handlebars! And when you move them forward or back it corresponds to moving forward and back on the back. Example: you PULL the handlebars close to you (back) and it move rider forward. You PUSH handlebars and it moves the rider backward. Just (kinda) as it would be.

Gear shift and rear brake are nothing different than "pedals" for a car. Wouldn't be so much to ask as for a "pedal" input in conjunction with the handlebars, would it? Another accessory and another thing to buy :)

Obviously clutch and throttle on the bars.

Just saying. For a simulator to be a simulator it needs controls to go with it. You name it.........any other "simulator" there is I can bank of fact that there is a proper control! Flight sim - Auto Racing sim.

And soon between the OMNI and Oculus Rift there will be First Person Shooter Simulations (and "Wicked Paradise!" :) )

In my opinion a proper control for this simulation would make it SO SO SO much easier! Just the simple fact that most are using PS3 or Xbox style controllers. Do you realize the resolution on these are horrible!!!!! Which is why even the slightest input makes a huge difference! And why the learning curve of this sim is so difficult?

Hell........I hooked up my RC controller for a RC flight sim I have to MXS and the resolution made it SO much easier. However, controlling other items (throttle and brake) where near impossible. But, just in the steering it was there! Made a hell of a difference and can't even explain how much better it was. This controller was equal to about 1024 res on it.

Just saying..........a proper controller would make this something others would enjoy........which would then, what? Create more sales! Get JLV to put out more updates! More versions! More everything!

What is motivating him right now? Not a lot, in my opinion, since the last version and snapshot were really nothing to brag about. You could argue he has the best.............but is it? I think he is capable of much much more :D

Somebody just make it so we can plug are real bikes into the game.

Seriously just need some sensors for the handle bars and brakes then the game could use the computer on fuel injected bikes for the throttle and everything else.

Then i could start my bike up and ride in my living room. It would be the most realistic sounds ever.

I am serious by the way someone do it.

Didn't bother reading the comments, but JLV if I remember correctly even said he wants to make the game a little more user friendly and more appealing to the less "simulation" crowd.

I think I remember that anyways so don't quote me as I am too lazy to attempt to find the post.
