Suspension Help - 2014 Rutherford

Post by *WMT*Corby »

Ok, honestly, I've ridden for about 2 years on and off between playing MVA Reflex, but while i'm averagely good speed i can't setup a bike for crap.

Anyone have any advice for a 2009 Yamie 250f?

Any input will be appreciated.

Also, I'm fine with the track apart from the on-off's, thats where I have my biggest issues. I've tried everything but cant fix :/

These on/offs are not about your setup. This year's on/offs have been all about technique. To get up onto it cleanly, you may need a preload. And, if you do that you may be able to get off clean, but if you not, then there are many ways you could "technique" off of it cleanly. You could do another preload (back then forward) or you could seat bounce and get your front end up (sit and lean forward then stand and lean back) but that one doesn't seem to work too often. You've just just gotta try stuff and see what works for you

Yeah ok. SO much to think about for a Amateur like me! :P yeah, i've just seen people doing a on-off-quad-single before the finish line at RD16, and can't do better than a 3-2 at the end because i can't get the on off perfect, anyway, since the rest of the track is working ok, then it must be just me.

Still, if anyone has any suspension ideas to stop my bike from nose-diving at times, that'd be sick too.

Thanks man !

Use Alexis Leclair's setups. I can't guarantee that you'll be able to get through the whoops without looking like an idiot, though.
