Mx Sim on big TVs

Finally got moved into my new place and ended up getting a new laptop. Anywho, has anyone hooked up there computer to a nice HD tv yet? Lucky for me my roomate just bought a brandnew TV. i think its 40 in, 1080p. its sweet. Ive been playing mxsim on it all week. finally got the internet tonight. time to tear it up lol. Just wondering if anyone else does this and was also wondering if its hard on my computer at all?

I do it sometimes but I think it makes the laptop run slower when i do it and it feels really weird going from a 17 inch laptop screen to a 42 inch tv. It takes some getting use to and its kind of messy with the cables running across the room.

i used to hook my comp to my 52 inch and play mx vs atv but i havnt done it for mx sim yet. it was awesome for fsx tho

ya idk i actually think i ride smoother on the big tv lol. that and then i plug into our getto surround sound. pretty fun lol

i dont know it like ruins the graphics or something in the tv. im not sure i just heard ppl talking bout it

Because some of the images on the screen are constant (HUD display etc...) if you play for many hours the images of those things can get burnt into the screen. Happens more easily with projection tv's but can still happen with LCD's and plasmas also.

sometimes the images stay on the plasmas but they wear out in a couple hours with the tv off. but alot of channels have their logos on screen all the time so whats the difference?

Those logos aren't there all the time. It just seems like it. They usually arent out for commercials, or do some funky things where it changes into something else, then changes back.
