Re: New
The best advice I can think to give a newbie is:
1) Don't make new topics unless there isn't an existing one that's relevant. You'll get bullied hardcore for this.
2) Read everything in the FAQ and help topics before you ask out of laziness. You'll also get bullied hardcore for this.
3) Follow 1 and 2 religiously.
4) Don't criticize a series or a track until you've tried to do either of them yourself first.
5) Don't give up on this hard to learn sim.
6) Have fun.

7) Be humble and patient with the STEEEEP learning curve. Start at the shallow end of the MXS pool. lol! Run the expert race series in single player until you win everything.

Re: New
Your account is quite old so this may not be of use to you anymore, but once you know how to get around on the bike you'll want to head over to the "YOUR SETUP"thread and pick a setup from there (make sure it's designed for the type of track your rising, either mx or sx).
I recommend doing this sooner rather than later because the stability settings in particular can mean drastic changes in how you ride, but it's necessary to be competitive. You don't want to learn bad habits.
Remember you have to crawl before you can walk! You'll learn faster if you slow down to a pace that you can keep up with very few crashes.
