What PC's does everyone run?
so today I went to play mx sim on my good ole computer and when I started it up, all I got was a black screen which said "operating system not found" I tried lots of different things and even got my dads friend who fixes computers to have a look and he basically told me my computers fuked. So now that i've got a good enough excuse to buy a new computer, I was wondering what everyone else who plays sim runs, I want something that will not lag (or atleast very very little lag), not to bothered with graphics/sound and it cant be anymore than £600. Thanks guys

It's most cost efficient to build your own pc, so first things first we need to know if your able to build it yourself (or get someone to do it for you).
Second, can anything be salvaged from the old pc? Do you know the specs? This could allow you to spend more on the important performance pieces.

I suppose I could give it a shot at building it and im sure maybe a few thing could be salvaged from the old pc (apart from the hard drive of course), I just havent really got any knowledge of what builds a good computer and what would be the best components for running games like mx simmxmadman374 wrote:It's most cost efficient to build your own pc, so first things first we need to know if your able to build it yourself (or get someone to do it for you).

There is a thread called "What's your pc?" In the Off Topic subforum. Plenty of people's personal PC builds there.
This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 character limit.

Good budget build for 500 bucks. Graphics cards is ok for sim. cpu mostly likely will lack due the the crappy single core performance. Power-supply will need an upgrade if you plan on beefier items in the future. Someone could find you better parts with better deals for about the same price, maybe a little more.Johnny_McClorey_95 wrote:Thanks for your help guys, was thinking about something like this, is this any good? Re: What PC's does everyone run?
Would this pc be ok for running sim? Also would a pc like this support photoshop/gimp and other programs?

Re: What PC's does everyone run?
Yes and no. Like I said in the post before. But it will be a good budget build. I recommend getting windows 8 and a nvidia graphics card (650 ti) instead of the 260x (IMO)

Re: What PC's does everyone run?
I recommend Intel and NVIDIA combo. Just me personally. Here's my build:

A bit over your budget and it's outdated, though.
