if i reinstall mxsim will it make a personal file?

I had to make my own personal folder when I installed it because I doidnt have one, now I keep trying to add this snapshot but it keeps saying client too old, I renamed it mx.exe and doesn't work. im at a total loss

also, when I search under my c drive for mx simulator nothing comes up

Make sure you have the "show hidden files" box ticked in your settings.

im getting pissed, I just reinastalled game and have nothing czlled ,x.exe or mx.bin all I have that is similar is mx

You have common extensions hidden.
