Critique Welcome (first ever bike skin)

Post by Connor Severance »

Hello fellow MXS players. This skin here is my first one and is not in the model/skins section because it has no link (why would you ride this?).
I would like to thank Benjii_D for his easy to use template, and blender file (for when I can hopefully figure that shit out): http://forum.mxsimulator.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=35349 .
I would also like to thank ClubStevo for his YT tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcWo62TWQgA .

I struggled in a few places while making this skin and was wondering if you guys could help me with these issues?
1. symmetry
2. eliminating the background from logos even after defining a custom path and using the selector wand to delete the background (didn't work).
3. fonts: I mean the stock photoshop ones are cool but is there a way to implement new fonts from dafont.com or any font website (how do you do this?).

Thanks for listening to me babble on and please feel free to critique this skin (NO MATTER) how crude you must be. Take it easy and stay safe.

Colors are a little weird and a swingarm graphic is upside down

Logo placement is a little weird. I always try to place them so they fit in the design but not at weird angles

I think you have the right idea going for a design, just as the previous comments said, the colors are kind of strange but that is personal opinion, when placing logos you should use vector logos instead, pretty much just an image that you can shrink or stretch and never makes it pixelated, and the number font, imo opinion you should use one more suited to a dirt bike and scale it a little better, http://www.dafont.com/ , look on the website for some that you like, but other than that for this being your first skin i think you did pretty good.

Thank you so much Ktmrdr11 for you tips on the logos and where to find fonts, I will be sure to take advantage of them for my next skin. Take it easy and stay safe.
