Re: gaming desktops???
What you choose is not very good. you would have to run sim graphics at a low to medium to get 125 MAYBE.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6883229626 <-- Found this for a Desktop and will run sim very well. Maybe 70-9 on 256x256 with 40 riders on nationals. If it can run sim well it can probably run every other game even better lol. I think it has plenty of storage. I do screenshots, some videos here and renders there, and haven't came close to going over 750gb and this has 1tb.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 24G1XA5128 <-- I would go for this monitor. My mate has one and it is a beast. The picture is super smooth and clear. A definite go get.
I think I went a little over budget, but I feel that these are the best bang for the buck, unless you are down to build your own pc. (*Note this is all imo*)

The fact you get a watercooled 4690k and 970 for that price is actually really good. The motherboard is a non Z board and the PSU is off brand, two big things that need to be solid and they cut back. Its still pretty good but not as good as it once was.
If I was you, I would get Amazon Prime tonight, buy everything tomorrow, and most likely walk away with this under $1000. I, myself, am impressed I was able to get an i5/970 combo this close to under $1k, good time to buy.

Re: gaming desktops???
I hate showing him prebuilts because of that crap. I didn't notice that the motherboard wasn't a z. It's hard to find something amazing with out building it for 4,000 lol.Pumaxcs wrote:i7 paired with an R7 250? Jesus, no.Cbear12 wrote:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K2D ... =bbfweb-20

Re: gaming desktops???
I agree, if you have any problems in Off Topic there is a PC thread and in Help/Troubleshooting there is another PC thread. Either place someone can help you with whatever.
Crazy, yesterday I posted that build for $1094, today its $1104. What a sale!

Re: gaming desktops???
I think if you don't want to build the ideal way to go is to find a cheap complete that runs on an I5 with integrated graphics. Then just add a good GPU (960, 970, or R9 270, R9 280) and upgrade the PSU and it is a lot better than most of the "gaming" prebuilts that skimp on GPU and way overdo the CPU.
