Here is a link to the specs on the pc u have now http://www.bsocialshine.com/2014/10/asu ... n.html?m=1 so right now u have only 4gb of ram... You will need at least 8 gn to run a 40 man gate.ThackerRacing10 wrote:Cbear12 wrote:Are you looking for better graphics, better frames per second, ect... Just tell me which one so I can help[/quote

Also, you have a dual core processor right now, I would look at getting an intel I5 or i7 to run a 40 gate

Your CPU is soldered to the board, you can not replace it. In general laptops are not upgrade able aside from RAM although sometimes those are even soldered to the motherboard.
The short answer is to build a cheap desktop, that laptop wouldn't meet my needs for web browsing let alone gaming of any type. Sorry to have to ruin your dreams.

Please don't waste your money on more RAM for gaming if you're 16 and broke.

I don't believe more RAM would even help much. Maybe 1-3 FPS, and that's being generous. You can build a gaming desktop that will do 40 riders on an outdoors track (if you're not worried about how the game actually looks) for ~$500-~$650. It really isn't hard. You just have to be able to make the money

I'm in the same boat as you. I should have busted my ass over summer break and mowed lawns, washed cars, etc, but I didn't. I'm looking for a job as well, but it just takes time. Start with small things (mowing lawns, and washing cars), and money will add up slowly. Don't expect to get all the $600 for a PC in one weekend. It's going to take a few months without a job.

Re: ASUS x551m laptop help
everybody is talking about 500 dollar computers. I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT COMPUTERs HOW DO YOU SUGEGEST I BUILD ONE????? also, i made $650 this year being a Little league umpire and every last bit of that 650 has gone towards rl racing. My birthday is coming up so im not wasting MY money. and anything helps if i can run 24 people with what i have a few more fps will be nice. and i dont take money for doing favors for nieghbors (accidently rythmin) they are old so i do it for free when they ask. and no way in hell im working with the mcdonalds meth heads for 7.35 an hour i wont for 15 dollars an hour either (#berniesanders2k16).

When you load into the game in the chat it should say "####MB used". What is that number? It could be worth it or it might not change anything at all based on that number.

My point was to tell you that the upgrades someone else suggested are first of all not even possible and second would be a waste of your hundred dollars. Sometimes you just have to wait until you can afford something to actually get it.
I know its hard out there for kids to get a job, everyone has stupid age requirements and stuff but I am sure you could figure something out if you tried.
