New 250F Sounds! (Updated: 4/28/2019)
Hey guys,
Here's the final version of these sounds. I don't plan on updating this any more but it should be future proof/forward compatible.
Just unzip the .rar file and put the two files in your personal folder. If you don't like them, simply take them out of your folder and the sounds will go back to the normal game sounds.
v2.0 Update - DOWNLOAD HERE!
(Don't forget to remove the old "New250fSounds" files from your Personal Folder!)
Previous Versions:
v1 | v1.1 | v1.2 | v1.3 | v1.4

Re: New 250F Sounds v.1!
Dang, I use a 450.
Good work tho! I personally like stock a little more. Sounds too much like MX Bikes to me, but it's way better than what I can do.

Yeah, it's quite a change from the stock sounds. I'd like to mellow the sounds out a little so they're not as 'harsh' but with time maybe...
A loaded gate sounds immense!

Have you tried taking an audio clip from this, and importing it into the game?

Re: New 250F Sounds v.1!
Thanks for taking the time to do this!
Only thing that kind of bugs me is when you're on the gas it sounds kinda blah. Idol and initial rev sound great but as soon as you let the clutch out it almost sounds like an electric bike. Still think it's better then the old sound for the 250f though!

Thanks! And I know. Unfortunately, I'm not sure there's much we can do about that since that's how to game's engine works. Games like MVA just use like 5 second long clips of a bike being pinned and then randomly loop them. Problem with that here is the game doesn't just read like idle.wav, pinned.wav, and so forth, since it actually adjusts the tone to your RPM. Which you kind of need in this game vs the others since you actually need to know when to shift your bike.JMcdonell94 wrote:Thanks for taking the time to do this!![]()

We'll get 'er though!
Where's this magic "import sound into game" button that I must have looked over?John23 wrote:Have you tried taking an audio clip from this, and importing it into the game?

Little more too it than just "importing it into the game" but yes. That's actually where the idle came from.
Here's another version that's a lot more similar to the stock sounds, but still has the updated idle/rev limiter. Let me know what you guys think.

Re: New 250F Sounds v.1!
Thanks for the sounds! Love to see this enthusiasm!
I really dig the rev limiter, and also when you come down from high rpm in the beginning. The idle is awesome as well! Personally, I find everything in between idle and rev limiter really buzzy. That kind of kills it for me, same goes for the stock 250 2smoke sounds. I like the cleaner sound. But who am I to say, I've taken a class in sound editing and I still suck balls. Great effort, looking forward to see if you are making more of these in the future!

That's exactly where I'm at now and how I feel about it. Can you see which parts were the easy parts? lol.Wahlamt wrote:I really dig the rev limiter, and also when you come down from high rpm in the beginning. The idle is awesome as well! That mid range is going to be a tough one to get to sound more like an actual motorcycle. Check out the v1.1 I posted right above you. It uses the new rev limiter/idle but the inbetween is much like the stock sound.

Re: New 250F Sounds v.1!
1.1 was definitely better! Not really sure how the soundtables work, but one thing I noticed is that I don't hit the revlimiter unless I gear down or jump. If I ride on flat ground, I simply won't hit it. Would it be possible to perhaps change the 2nd highest rpm to a version of the rev limiter, except that it's maybe a tad longer to differ a little from the actual rev limiter?

Re: New 250F Sounds v.1!
Well you won't hit the rev limiter on the stock sounds either I realized. So my point then is to minimize highest rpm -> rev limiter gap soundwise.

Re: New 250F Sounds v.1!
I took the SAF files out, and now there is no sound for the 250s.

I have tried that but then the rev limiter is always hitting. I can try messing with it some more to see.Wahlamt wrote:Well you won't hit the rev limiter on the stock sounds either I realized. So my point then is to minimize highest rpm -> rev limiter gap soundwise.
