Just because its an Alienware doesn't mean its fast, its a brand. You just so happen to have the Alienware that could do so.
Vsync will match your FPS to your screen's refresh rate. There wasn't any sort of setting we just told him to get double the performance. His PC was capable of it the whole time but was limited by this setting.

Yea, I just knew because it was 60fps and that is the default Vsync. If it was anything else I would have suspected that is what it was capable of.Pumaxcs wrote:Just because its an Alienware doesn't mean its fast, its a brand. You just so happen to have the Alienware that could do so.

Re: MX simulator fps
Go into the settings for your video card and turn it off for mxs. I only have done it on Nvidia but go into 3d settings and then find mxs in the programs drop down (if its not there add it), and then turn off vsync.sykoz wrote:How do u turnoff vsync? im stuck at 60 fps as well

Re: MX simulator fps
I get poor FPS as well, lately. I used to get ~100-120 FPS in rF races/SX servers etc but since I've upgraded to Windows 10 my FPS has taken a huge hit in even mildly populated servers. I've updated all my drivers, of course and messed with the different graphics settings and most work perfectly in time trial but start becoming choppy (120FPS and briefly bogs down to 10-30 for 1 second and shoots back up to 120).
my computer specs are still much more than is needed for MXS IMO.
-Intel i7 2600 @3.4GHz
-AMD Radeon HD 7900 3GB mem
-8GB RAM
What else can I try?

Does this happen repeatedly? I know there was a issue with the tuff blocks on the 2015 SX tracks that caused a hit like that for a lot of people but only once about 30 seconds after the start of the race.Uollie wrote:I get poor FPS as well, lately. Re: MX simulator fps
Yeah, it does happen repeatedly I'm afraid. Like I mentioned, it was after I upgraded from Win 7 to 10. I never tried running it without upgrading any of my drivers though, but I did rollback my graphics drivers to see if it would work normally and it didn't so now I'm using a beta drivers and I'm not seeing performance increases from driver to driver. And of course, for the hell of it, I tried running compatability settings and my FPS actually decreases a lot, instead of 100-120 at best, I will get 60 at best and it still dips to the 20 range but more frequently.SMR 510RR wrote:Does this happen repeatedly? I get the issue with any SX track, but only when the server starts filling up. Even like 5 people.
