Post by gomoto846 »

hey guys im still getting used to mxs. love the game. getting faster. but im tryin to record a little video with fraps and when i start recording my fps drop to one or two. and yes my computer is very slow. is there anyway way u guys would reccommend to speed it up? or i also heard about jlv's video recorder thing. maybe that instead of fraps would help. anyway advice is much appreciated! thanks.

Im sorry, but the only solution to that, is getting a new computer. There is nothing cheap you could add to speed it up significantly

JLV's recorder would work for you computer, infact its what it was designed for. It records at a fixed frame rate regardless of your computer.

id suggest using fraps over jlv. no disrespect or something ive played around with both and fraps wins.

Its really down to your computer performance and power, kinda like filming in real life you kinda wanna go out with something decent and not a disposable camera, my suggestion is to start playing fraps for a few seconds before you wanna record your "XXX" so it can adjust the frame rate and it smooths out.
