Anyone playing on a mac???

Post by Number3 »

I installed MXS on my macbook pro (using crossover), the performance was good etc. but it only worked once. Whenever I try to run it again it gets stuck on the loading track screen.

I also tried boot camp but all I get is lots of flickering. I can't find any drivers on the apple site, and the ones from nvidia won't work.

So my question is, does anyone play on a macbook pro (2009) and if so how do you play?

Try "Parallells Desktop". I used to have a MacBook Pro and I used Parallells Desktop to run some windows programs on it, including MXS. Worked fine for me.
Hope it helps!

They have free trials to test, you just have to sign up.

I use vmware fusion ATM and the performance isn't good enough for running games. I haven't tried parallels but I assume that the performance is pretty similar.

Hmm that's weird. I play on bootcamp on 09 macbook pro no problems. I didn't have to install anything just the stuff bootcamp tells you to when you set it up (the apple drivers disc that comes with your macbook) but I'm sure you know that already

A friend of mine uses a brand new mac book pro, through boot camp and windows 7. Probably 32 bit though.

When I used Parallells on my macbook pro I had Win XP SP3. The game ran very smooth. Don't know how it would run now though cause of the new shaders.
