P.s. The reason for this thread is that my local store only had wireless adapters and wired afterglow controllers in stock, and I can assure you I am returning the afterglow because they are complete trash

Xbox Controller: Wired or Wireless?
Hi guys I have been playing with a Wired Xbox 360 controller for a long time now, and am just curious how many people are like me, or how many people play with a Wireless and have had any disconnection issues with it. I just want to hear if there are any issues because having a wire is certainly worth knowing I won't have any connection issues. Thanks!

I use a wireless because, well it's 2015.
Just make sure your battery/batteries aren't about to die before you start a race.

Re: Xbox Controller: Wired or Wireless?
After I broke the wire on my 2nd wired controller I bought a wireless receiver that was like $10. I also have a rechargeable battery with the station beside my desk. As far as performance goes, I haven't noticed a difference with the response time, which seems to be every argument to wireless. As long as the receiver isn't a ways away I suggest wireless 100%. Also I would buy a proper Microsoft wireless controller from like best buy, The afterglow and custom ones sometimes have fucked up sensors in the stickers and triggers (My brother had one and I tried it, It was awful)

I use wired, because I dont have to charge the batteries, it does get annoying though, sometimes the wires get in your way, and if you have the wires wrapped incorrectly around the controller you can break the wires. If you can deal with the wires then it is okay XD. And yes its 2015, i want to get a wireless.Snopro704 wrote:Hi guys I have been playing with a Wired Xbox 360 controller for a long time now, and am just curious how many people are like me, or how many people play with a Wireless and have had any disconnection issues with it. I started with wireless because I had the controller, it sucked so I bought a wired one to keep by the computer. The binding or whatever is always a PITA and if you start the game and it isn't connected then it never will. Unless you need to be far away from the computer then just use wired.

Re: Xbox Controller: Wired or Wireless?
My PS4 with wireless works flawless with the SCP drivers. I have had 3 PS4 controllers connected wirelessly to my PC at one time for Rocket League and nothing dropped or anyone feel noticeable lag.
I've always been an early adapter for wireless things and just recently I'd say its stable enough for someone to get their moneys worth. If you want to stick with the XB controller they have the W10 adapter stick for the new controllers and apparently their ok.
