Hey whats up guys, just got the game yesterday I love it!!!
But I still have no sound. I have been reading and trying to figure out how to get the sound working. Volume is at 10 and laptop sound is on. I saw a thread about doing something in the command prompt. I have no idea how to access that. Any insight would be great. Also for any macbook pro users, How did you guys get ur xbox 360 controllers or ps3 controllers working! keyboard isn't doing it for me lol.
Thanks.
Can someone please walk me through getting sound on my mac!

Command prompt is windows. Are you using bootcamp or do you mean Terminal on OS X?

DP but if your using Windows on your mac then you need to make sure your bootcamp drivers are installed and up to date. If youre on OS X I have a video that Ive made on how to properly install.
I believe Wahlamt and a few others have tutorials out there as well.

Yes i have already done all of that in your video. The game works great no lags or anything just no sound.LKR47 wrote:DP but if your using Windows on your mac then you need to make sure your bootcamp drivers are installed and up to date. I would use the demo of cross over to install so it will make a personal folder then use wine to run the game after your trial expires. Did my mac this way and i've had literally no problems other than saving track info which im still trying to figure out all other things work.

I found this in a quick google search "go to wine/configure/audio and under directsound/hardware acceleration change it to emulation from full."

IF your gonna use sim on mac get parallel desktops or set up a virtual machine its little to no money to set up and you never run into problems like this

Actually parallels costs money, if you were to set up a VM VirtualBox is free. But then youd have to have a windows key or youd have to purchase one. To the OP, I have a video on how to set up and run sim in a VM. The performance takes a big hit though. It wont run as good in a VM as it would with wine or in windows with bootcamp.HuffenPuffer801 wrote:IF your gonna use sim on mac get parallel desktops or set up a virtual machine its little to no money to set up and you never run into problems like this
