Re: New to MX sim
I'll try and help ya out.
1. Change the graphics to your computer's capability. Here's how: Main Menu -> Graphics/Sound Setup -> Advanced Graphics. If you have a good PC I'd say almost max them out, or get high enough graphics so you can still get a solid 125fps count.
2. That happens whilst you are riding but doesn't take full effect until you watch yourself in playback mode, or are watching/spectating another rider. To get the best out of the leg extension, go to: Main Menu -> Bike Setup, then move the Bar that reads "Rider Dab Speed (MPH)" beside it. To view a whip or a corner you think you thought was cool, to see your rider's leg stick out, while ingame (as soon as the cool part occurs) hit "t" to open chat. From there, type "/namedemo name". Where I wrote name, is where you name it whatever you want, but do not put any spaces between words/letters. It only consists of 1 compounded word. Then restart your game. Main Menu -> Playback Race -> Name of demo/playback race.
3. It's all about the setup (Advanced Stability). When you find one you like, stick with it and do not change it for a long time or at all! This is how you better your skills at a faster pace if you constantly use the same setup.
Here are a few for you to try.
This one is used by the 2016 Lites West Coast points leader (Jeremi Seabolt) http://forum.mxsimulator.com/viewtopic. ... 10#p689630
This is a very helpful setup. I used to one fairly similar to it. Helps a lot. http://forum.mxsimulator.com/viewtopic. ... 95#p681143
This one is one/if not the fastest rider in sim (Hunter Root)'s old setup. Still very good! http://forum.mxsimulator.com/viewtopic. ... 65#p639830
If you click on those links, you can scroll through that whole topic as it has tens to hundreds of setups posted in there.
Hope this helps you. These 3 setups are all very good, fairly stiff and may be hard to whip at first, but trust me, that is not something you want to be focusing on right now. Focus on getting used to the game, start with some simple tracks, advance your way to higher skill level tracks. I'd say run some 2011 sx tracks, and ride a good 10-20 laps on each once and a while. Decent strategy to become consistent.
Most of all, have fun! (and ride 1st person!!!) 3rd is for queers
