Tips/Advice for Noob to MXS?
I have been playing the demo for awhile now and get really discouraged because I cannot figure it out! I am decent with arcade physics on but I'm sure most of the people that are somewhat good at the game play with arcade physics off. I can barely make a few corners without falling over. Does it take days, weeks, and months to learn how to play without crashing so much? I'm used to playing Xbox games like the MX vs ATV games and this is a lot harder. But the online series looks fun. Could someone give me a setup that would be good for a beginner player or is everyone different in what setup they like? I'm just looking for advice to see if I should give up or learn how to play before I buy the full version of the game. Thanks

Check out a setup video like this and copy all of the values that they have for each category. (I personally use this one)

It take a lot of time man, its not going to be like MX VS ATV. But the reward is that when you finally get that certain jump down, or the perfect corner, it feels really cool.
Try and stick with it and just keep practicing. It takes a while, but like I said its worth it.

Be in for the long haul. You're gonna be here for awhile. This game is about play time. The more you play the better you will get.

The beginning kinda sucks cause you spend 99 percent of your time watching your rider lift himself off the ground but it's worth it

I've looked up a few setups and I've finally found one that I can work with. I originally looked up setups of what the pros use but they definitely didn't work for me haha. Just like if you hop on Ryan Dungey's factory bike in real life you obviously won't be as fast as him Lol. I guess everyone's setups are different but I'll stick with playing the game. Thanks for some input!

Be patient and get a lot of seat time before you expect to be fast.

Mxs is like 50/50 between having a good setup and seat time. The one linked above is a good setup, cant go wrong.

Piggybacking off this topic a little... (Sorry mate!)
Do you fellas reckon it is better to start with Arcade physics and learn the tracks, or does that give you random bad habits and increase the learning curve with more realistic physics enabled?
Thanks!

Definitely ditch arcade physics asap. I mean if you're at the point right now where you struggle to go around a track then maybe its not a terrible idea to do some laps in arcade mode to have an idea of where to go haha but realistic physics get easier once you have a good setup
Thanks!

Re: Tips/Advice for Noob to MXS?
Cheers!
I had a crack at it last night without changing anything on the setup, it was not spectacular, but I was eventually landing a jump (sweet ten to fifteen footers! Ha.) here and there.
Book marked the setup and a couple of other tutorial style videos linked here and on other topics and will take another run at it.
