Controller Mapping

Post by Buzzard »

Hi guys, been looking for controller discussion, most of what I see is people bitching theirs don't work.

Mine works, I just can't figure out a good key map so I can Steer, lean, dab, brake and throttle at the same time. Forget about changing gears...

Would someone please point me at the threads I'm looking for or clue me in on how they do it so I can figure out what I'm messing up.

Thanks!

Are you talking like easiest buttons for all that stuff. I used to run the steering on the left stick and lean forward and back on the right stick, until I changed my shifting to Manuel. Then I put the steering and leaning forward and back on the left stick and the right stick does nothing. I use A or X if you have ps4 controller to sit down. And of course throttle on the right trigger brake on the left.

Yea I put steering (leaning) and forward and back on the left stick and sit (dab) on A button. For shifting I use X and Y and B for backing up. Hope this helped.

Thanks. It does.

Does everyone put their brakes on the same button, or have them separate?
I guess I will just map stuff and try and modify it to the stuff I use all the time in easy reach.

What's always worked for me is a controller setup similar to mx vs atv reflex
Xbox controller
Right trigger- Throttle
Left Trigger- Front/back brake (antilock)
LB (left button above trigger)- Clutch
Left stick- Steering
Right stick- lean back/forward
RB (right button above trigger)- revervse/back up
Button A- Down shift
Button B- Up shift
Button X- Sticky sit dab

If this is confusing or you have more questions don't hesitate to pm me!

I put both on the one trigger. I'm sure the pros use different buttons
