how to unlock fps

My buddy locked his fps the other day not knowing it messes you up online. Could anybody tell me how to unlock your fps after you have locked it??

He didn't use his vsync. He never has. Isn't there a command inside of mx simulator that you can lock and unlock your fps. if so, what are the commands

There is no real lock in mxsim, the game is locked at 125. If you only get 60, your vsync is turned on, otherwise it's just flickering around 125. Use the command /togglefps to get an ingame fps counter.

Mine flickers around 80. and he already checked, and his vsync is off.

Then you most likely aren't getting any higher due to it's that hard to run. Turn down the graphics if you want better.

you can put --lock-fps 125 in the command line for your mxs shortcut

maybe he did this and forgot out to undo it?

You definitely don't want to use --lock-fps for anything but video recording with the ffmpeg script. It doesn't magically speed up the game, it slows the clock down so the physics will be right for that frame rate.

Thanks for everybodys help. He figured out that he didn't have his refresh rate turned all the way up.
