Re: setup config
first off, you have a dot and enter key on your keyboard. use them
whoops are the hardest part of the game in my opinion.
there is an easy way to do them though, so try this.
turn off auto shift.
enter the whoops in 1st or 2nd gear.
pin it while pulling back on the handle bars slightly, you will notice when you pull too much.
keep the bike straight, don't steer unless absolutely necessary.
Don't brake in the whoops EVER!
You can let off the throttle slightly to slow down for a turn, just feel how your bike reacts, if it gets out of controll give it some more gas.
setup for sx in general is very stiff suspension.
for example:
fork compression damping:85
fork rebound damping:30
fork spring rate: 55
fork preload:25
shock compression damping:70
shock rebound damping: 30
shock spring rate: 50
shock preload: 20
those are the most important.
this should help.
Some SX tracks however have very hard whoops, large and far apart, those make everything that much harder.
I suggest trying the whoops on San francisco 2010, or anaheim 1 2009.
those are some of the easiest whoops I have seen.
bumps are basically the same, the difference being that they are a little more unpredictable and uneven.
a softer suspension setup can help get traction on rough tracks.
