Dallas Whoops settings

Post by frederick »

Hi ive been testing my suspension in the whoops@ dallas.
and im still not happy with my suspension. im lapping 1.04.2 but i dont think i can go like that in the whoops for 8 laps.
so i wonder what setting You use.
High compression front or low
low or high rebound front/back and so on

well ive got a secret method for the whoops. its about 5 tenths of a second slower.. or less, and its almost possible to turn in the whoops aswell( no its not pausing and pressing arcade phys lol thats gay=) )
its very safe. but if you want to spare all the time possible its slower

I have compression and rebound very low on both forks and shock. I can run it pinned 3rd or 4th gear through the whoops as long as you enter them mostly straight up and down.

so its apparent that suspension settings dont have a great deal of effect, and its more technique.

Its incredibly frustrating to enter the whoops straight as a dye, and with no apparent reason the back end would kick sideways towards the end of the whoops, its rediculously frustrating. Has anyone even have a hint of technique that they could give? i've tried every tip in this thread but havnt found a solid CONSISTANT technique/setting

riding around them works really well, although it is cheating.

the back wheel would go sideways becuase your either not going fast enough or you let off the gas

After riding this track, the auto shifting is a real pain. It stays in like 5 gear after the whoops, so when i go into that corner, the bike constantly bogs unless I clutch the hell out of it. I think the system needs a bit of adjusting, cos thats a real pain bogging all of the time
