MX Simulator

I thought there may be a few here who might want to see this too as its to do with bike sims.

Hi guys thought I would let you know about the up coming show with GPBikes on it.Heres what they posted on Race Sim Central.

Two-wheeled sim content is the subject matter of ‘Inside Sim Racing’ episode #67.

First, we take a look at ‘GP Bikes’. This title is a motorcycle sim for the PC and is still in it’s alpha stages. We give this a quick feature since it is still under development, however we will continue to track its progress and do a more indepth review in the future.Next up, SBK-X, a title based off the Superbike World Championship. SBK-X was released in Italy on May 21st 2010 and will be released in Europe in the first week of June. There is not yet a confirmed date for the United States.The staff at ‘Inside Sim Racing’ might just be the only people in the United States with a copy of SBK-X. That being said, we are very fortunate to have our hands on this title and review it on the show. Episode #67 will be broadcast early next week so make sure to tune-in.

I certainly like sportbike sims as well, but maybe this should go in the 'off-topic' section. But whatever

Does MotoGP 08 for the ps3 count as a sim? I got really, really good at in during the week when my computer had a virus and MXS got wiped out. It seems like it is almost a sim, but not quite.

Opps I should have thought of that, sorry JLV. Only wanted to pass on some info.

what are some good sportbike sims that are available now?

I buyed GPbike too before MXS, it's a really nice game. (now Piboso's made a version for cars, and kart and give both game for one registred.)
But not perfect too, very fun with people, but no official server, hard to find people to ride with sometimes and some physical lack on other non plane parts.
For me the very best game, should be Piboso (GPBike coder, gui, interface, gameplay ) working with JLV (simulation part, physical, coding).

There's aslo Netbike (you can find some really nice vids, particulary an old video with Ducati on country road.)

I never herd of Netbike but will check it out looked ok. There are a load of us that meet every Monday at 5pm GMT so come join us at GPBikes if you feel like it. Good guys like most on here.

I will come if I can i don't played GPBike since last year, and maybe I have to update my game (or maybe not )

I used to think GP bikes was a pretty good sim, then I played MXS and realized that GP Bikes was a 1/2 assed game. Seriously. It's an arcade game, to call it anything else would be false advertising. To the best of my knowledge MXS is the only bike sim to use the opposite steering method, and it shows, every other bike game I've played it was obvious you were just leaning the bike over and they all feel the same because of it. If JLV had put a lot of time into the arcade mode MXS would play just like all those other games.

So thanks JLV for ruining all those other games for me! Jerk!

Yea, MotoGP for ps3/xbox is like that. Pushing left makes the bike lean left. If it has any sort of real physics code, it is a combination of counter- steering and rider leaning. For a true sim, leaning and steering need to be separate (and MXS has shown that steering is the more important one).

That's why it was actually a good idea for that Reflex game to have separate controls for leaning and turning. But no need to beat a dead horse there..
