New Style of Advanced Stabilitly for More Simulation Cornering Speed

Post by RSmithDRIFT »

After a few years away, I came back and finally perfected my advanced stability setup that makes cornering speed more accurate and makes the bikes feel, imo and everyone i know who rides dirt bikes and motorcycles, more accurate (gyroscopic behavior at speed). If you actually care about the SIMULATION aspect of this game, you need to give these settings a chance. No they are not competitive with traditional setups. Yes you have to be careful to not over lean and lay it down if you want the setup to be fast. Yes you can re enable to roll limit angle and factor if you are struggling, but YES that will make you even slower on sharp berm turns and in ruts. It's important that ALL of the advanced stability variables here be set to these values for it to work correctly. Having any one part of it different has detrimental effects. Only thing, like i said, is if you keep laying it down, turn the roll limit angle to like 45 and the factor to like 8.75 or something but know it makes you have to go slower in berms and ruts. Either way, you will find that the older/more realistically scaled tracks will suddenly ride perfect and the crazy steep and overscaled tracks will now feel as oversized and wrong as they actually are.

Here's the code from the config file found in: Users/{NAME}/AppData/Local/MX Simulator with a bonus of my bike suspension setup if you wanna try it also (but probably wont like lol):

PS: Now, some of you hate that I try to change the way MX Simulator plays and that's fine. I just dont want to hear your excuses for why your super unrealistic setup that wants to fall over all the time and allows you to lean beyond 90* and rail a berm at mach 10 thus letting you clear 100 yards in a single bound in a super cross stadium is better. It's fun to mob a track like that, sure. But it's NOT REALISTIC!! And this game has been plagued by increasingly unrealistically scaled tracks the last 8 or so years because of it. With that said, this stability setup will have your cornering speeds and lean angles much more in line with the real deal. You can even ride the 2013 and older tracks hard without over jumping everything or hitting unreal lines. They feel perfect to me now tbh. So either you're into that and that's awesome, glad i could improve your simulator experience. Or you hate it and prefer going mach 10 at all times and riding the massivly overscaled, very steep tracks that send you soaring unrealistically that match that style. Either way, I'm not going to argue with you about it. If you like it, that's great, if you dont like it, IDC.. just dont use them then.
