Unlimited Undo Attempts In Editor

JLV, I'm sure this has been talked about before, but is there any way we could get unlimited undo attempts in the editor?

Being limited to only 8 works fine for the most part, but there has been certain situations where I really wish I could undo 20+ times or so lol. This is mostly an issue when using the raise/lower tool for ruts. For example, if it takes 20 or more steps to create a rutted corner (raise, lower, smooth)
and I end up wanting to change it, there's no way I can revert back to the original unless I have a backup saved.

I know something like that is probably low priority, but I think it would be cool.

It'd be possible but it'd definitely need a more sophisticated undo system.

+1 to redo and +1 to more undo steps please

AFAIK for implementing undo/redo, if you have a way to record "undo" actions you are already storing the list of actions to "redo" and play back.
